A few spring sports you can look forward to for the 2019 year are baseball, track, and boys golf. Your Putnam County baseball boy’s most recent activity consists of a 13-1 victory over Trenton on their home field. Their season was off to a rough start with the delays in the schedule due to the inconsistent weather patterns, however, that did not stop them from kicking off their season with a win. Your baseball seniors this year consist of Levi F. and Taylor T.
The Putnam County boys golf team brought home a victory from their rival match up with Milan. Freshman Jaden W. received first overall with Freshman Carter Q. close behind him receiving third. The varsity team competed in a tri-meet at Trenton where once again Jaden W. brought home first place with two of his teammates right there with him. Carter Q. won second place and Junior Bryce K. got third with the team placing first overall. Cody P. and Justin W. are this year’s seniors.
Our varsity track teams have also been on a roll this year. The girls team tied for first and the boys snagged third at the Putnam County Midget Relays. The midgets competed in the Rachel Morris Relays at Schuyler County and brought home second place. Junior Maddison S. also received top female performer at the Schuyler meet. Your senior track members this year are Chaece H., Hannah M., Kaitlyn L., Jordan M., and Molly P.
